drums! Now this is therapy! After a disappointing morning of no coffee for the second day, I was delighted when Jenny (PT) lit up at seeing our newest “toy”. In the vein of cardboard boxes being the most fun toy ever, I saved our very empty (waaaa!) coffee container for a drum for little miss! It was the perfect height and if she banged on it until it was nothing but a crinkled mess of aluminum? No prob! Well, turns out my coffee turned drum is “genius” (yea, the word was uttered. Booyah!). It works all of the areas of therapy: fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, and I’m sure there were others mentioned haha! Jenny even had angel baby trying to reach inside the “drum” to get out her favorite toys - a 15 month skill! It’s never too early to try :) Anyone have other household items turned toy that were a hit with the wee ones? Would love to hear about it! Happy Friday, yall!
